Turning on the Christmas Lights in Putney

Christmas market at town hall square in the Old Town of Tallinn, Estonia

It was a very festive afternoon and evening in Putney last Friday (30th November) for the turning on of the Christmas Lights – it was good to meet so many old & new friends. We talked holidays around the globe with lots of interest in: the Northern Lights, Greece, Croatia, Norwegian Coastal Cruises, Japan Rugby World Cup and South Africa. Thanks for taking the time to come along and chat.

There we fine performances by a number of school choirs including; Hotham Primary, Hurlingham and Putney High plus Stagecoach and Putney Arts Theatre with some highlights of their pantomime,  Robin Hood. To cap it all, Kiko Matthews, the fastest female to row solo across the Atlantic, turned on the Christmas lights!

Thanks to Nicola (Positively Putney – Putney B.I.D.) for organising the event and Andy Bartlett for his photos.
